Docking station for function checks of portable gas detectors G450 / G460 / G888 / G999. With the DS400 docking stations, function tests and adjustments of portable gas detectors can be carried out fully automatically, quickly and easily. The charging function ensures that the gas detectors are ready for use when they are needed. Gas detectors that are tested every working day increase safety in the workplace. They are operated via the display and the buttons on the inserted gas detector.
In accordance with DGUV information 213-056 (T021) and 213-057 (T023), a display test (bump test) must be carried out before each use of a portable gas detector to check that it is working properly. With the DS400 test station, the necessary measure is simple, time-saving and cost-effective.

Function test and adjustment
If a switched-on gas detector is inserted into the docking station, you can choose between a function test and calibration. During the bump test, the alarms and response times are checked automatically within a maximum of 60 seconds, the time and test interval are set and the data is saved on an SD card (optional). Before adjustment, the zero point of the sensors is set with a fresh air supply. The sensor sensitivity is then readjusted with test gas. Depending on the device and the number of sensors, this process takes a maximum of four minutes. After each test and adjustment, feedback is provided on the successful completion of the test or possible errors.
Charging function
If a switched-off gas detector with a rechargeable battery is placed in the docking station, the charging process starts automatically. Once fully charged, the docking station switches to trickle charging to conserve the battery. The docking station is supplied with power via a 12-volt mains adapter.
Equipment and accessories
The DS400 docking station has an integrated pump to draw in the test gas. A gas sampling fitting (optional) must be used for the test gas feed with a gas cylinder. The DS400 has one inlet for test gas (single gases or gas mixtures), while the DS404 has four gas inlets. Both docking stations also offer two additional connections for zero gas or fresh air and exhaust gas. Several docking stations can be connected in series via the RS-485 connections or connected to a computer for data transfer. Documentation is provided on an SD card.
