high pressure plugs
The solid steel high pressure test plugs up to max. 100 bar counterpressure are used for shutting off and testing pipelines with high pressures. The permissible pressures are reduced with the increase of the inner pipe diameter! The pressure ratios and safety regulations must be observed.
Version is size dependent:
- DN 14 – 500 with prop up plate
- DN 600 – 1900 without prop up plate
Characteristics
- to seal off and test pipes of industrial facilities, in ships and installations with very high backpressures
- a hollow spindle generates the pressure needed
- the high pressure plugs made of solid steel have a ball valve to shut-off the test chamber
- up to DN 500, a support plate is provided to hold them in the building or pipe trench
- for DN 600 and above, no support plate is needed
Only use pipe stops with support installed and consider the maximum backpressure. Never exceed the maximum pressure specified!
